The Da Vinci Surgery system is composed of the following 3 primary elements:
  1. Surgeon console
  Unlike conventional surgery which requires the surgeon to stand for a long time, Da Vinci Surgery system allows the surgeon to carry out the surgery while sitting, thus reducing the fatigue due to standing and enabling the surgeon to carry out more complicated surgeries in the best condition. In addition, the surgery only takes several small incisions, thus leading to shortened recovery time, reduced probability of infection, and reduced pain.
2. Patient Cart
  Using four robotic arms for the surgery, the surgeon can apply medical treatment to areas which are difficult to access using human hands via a simulated wrist surgical instrument, which enables extremely fine motion adjustment to greatly enhance the precision.
  3. 3D high resolution image
    Surgeons can clearly see the surgical site and nearby blood vessels, nerves, and muscle tissues via 3D image, such that major blood vessels and nerves can be avoided during surgery to reduce the loss of blood and to retain the function of organ.
