| Our Hyperbaric
Oxygen Center is one of the best in central Taiwan, with its
large scale and professional staff. The main cabin of the machine
is a unique 6-seat-capacity space, which has room for rollaway
beds so that patients may sit up or lie down in a bright, wide
and comfortable space to receive treatment. In the cabin, using
a soft mask that provides pure oxygen, the oxygen concentration
in a patient’s blood can be increased, the antibacterial fighting
ability of white blood cells can be improved, angiogenesis can
be promoted and recovery time can be reduced. |

| According
to the Health Bureau’s statistic, malignant tumor is ranked
number one for the top ten major causes of death. Everyday,
an average of 100 people died from cancer due to malignant tumor.
Our hospital uses the most advanced, non-invasive, and the only
open-body designed PET/CT to perform examinations. This cancer
diagnostic device uses high quality positron emission tomography
functional imaging and computed tomography anatomical imaging
to detect tumor more accurately and can identify tumor with
the size of 0.4cm. |
PET examination
can detect the presence of cancer cells, such as for lung
cancer, colorectal cancer, esophageal cancer, head and neck
cancer, lymphoma, melanoma, and poorly differentiated thyroid
cancer. It can be used clinically to identify cancer cells
at early stage, to perform tumor staging and assessment before
operation, to do outcome evaluation after treatment or operation,
as well as to track for tumor recurrences or metastasis after
operation. Moreover, it can perform cancer screening for people
with family medical history, abnormal tumor markers, or high
risk of having cancer, for cardiac muscle survival, and for
neuro-related epilepsy, Alzheimer’s disease, and brain tumor. |
| PET Center
has comfortable waiting area, common room, and special personnel
to guide your examination procedures. After examinations are
completed, our nuclear science specialists will do a detailed

is equipped with delivery rooms, neonatal care rooms and units,

Catheterization Center |

hospital. Under their leadership, the experienced medical team
of cardiology and cardiosurgery with advanced equipment has
established a highly-qualified cardiovascular medical center. |
The cardiovascular
medical center has advanced, high-tech instruments, such as
digitalized cardiac catheterization system, angiography, color
Doppler echocardiography, electrocardiogram with treadmill
test, 24-hour Holter monitor, heart electrophysiological study,
cardio-pulmonary bypass, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation
(ECMO) and 64-slice high speed computed tomography, as well
as cardiosurgery operation rooms and cardiology intensive
care unit.

| Our 24-hour
emergency rescue team co-operates with the air-rescue system
to provide immediate rescue. Moreover, it is equipped with the
most advanced instruments, such as digitalized cardiac catheterization
system, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) machine,
and 64-slice helical computed tomography device. Our team provides
an around-the-clock expert service to patients and serves as
a top regional medical center for emergency care in the community. |
| Our top-level
medical team has already performed over 5,000 cases of successful
cardiac catheterization. It only takes about 1-3 days to complete
a cardiac catheterization examination, implant a pacemaker,
and do other interventions such as balloon valvuloplasty or

| The Burn
Center has 10 beds where complete treatment is provided by plastic
surgeons and professional nurses, who are specifically trained
in caring for burn patients. The doctors and nurses coordinate
with physical therapists, respiratory therapists, nutritionists
and social workers. Independent operating rooms, hydrotherapy
rooms, playground, and observation corridors are available;
additionally, an independent, isolated air conditioning system
has been installed to avoid transmission of infections. |
